Google's foray into Voice

Technology
Google launched "Google Voice" couple of days back, a much revamped version of GrandCentral. While GrandCentral just offered convenience features, Google has taken it to a different level altogether. With what Google has done, it has essentially bridged two different communication channels pretty smoothly - the telephone and the internet. Go through the Google Voice features page for the details. If this is the future, then telecom companies would just be the pipes that companies like Google would use to provide phone services. The separation between voice and data would blur.
