MODU-lar Phone!

MODU, an Israeli firm is coming up with a modular phone design where you change the skin of the phone to make the phone take on different functional avatars. Their website has a creative clip showing the possibilities. It is targeted to be available by end of this year in some markets. The phone core hardware is extremely small, so it would probably rely on the jacket to provide many of the bulky stuff - the camera, buttons and screen. But the possibilities are immense and a whole new industry of Modu jackets can flourish if this becomes successful. There are many articles on the net talking about it:
This compliments my dream of the hand held device becoming much more powerful and being able to take part in many different activities we do every day. It will not probably toast my bread yet, only my brain.
